VACUUM FORM MOLDING

Vacuum Form Mold

Vacuum forming occurs when a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto a mold and forced against the mold by a vacuum. After the shape has been created, Fabfour can use CNC tooling to add holes and special features. We can vaccum form using both male and female custom molds.

PRESSURE FORM MOLDING

Pressure forming molding takes the same concept of vacuum forming but is a more advanced process allowing a more detailed molded shape. It utilizes a single-sided mold to create the shape using vacuum & pressure on opposite sides of the sheet. The finished product has an appearance similar to that of an injection molded part, including surface textures.
